Spider Silk Titanium Wire
Spider Silk titanium wire for temperature control vaping provides the ultimate vape experience. Temp control allows for a safer vaping experience in that in most cases it prevent the cotton from burning. Vaping burnt cotton is something everyone tries to avoid, but unfortunately most vapers experience on an all too regular basis. Beyond the taste, vaping burning cotton produces some negative chemicals. Temp control assists in restricting the possibility of vaping negatives.
Temperature Control Vaping actually limits the temperature the titanium wire. Temp control is actually a not controlling the temperature or even measuring temperature; temp control devices lack any thermostat or temp sensing circuitry. Temp control Mods actually monitor the change in resistance as the Ti wire is being heated. The specific resistance change is being monitored and the temp control device will adjust or restrict power to the Ti wire. Titanium wire is used on temp control devices as opposed to Kanthal or NiChrome because they have a more predictable correlation between resistance and temperature. The resistance rises as the titanium wire is heated and since the increase in resistance of the titanium wire maintains a predictable value based on its temperature, it can monitor the change in resistance of the Ti wire to restrict temperature.
Titanium wire used on temperature control devices will actually increase resistance as the Ti wire is heated, which is quite different from other resistance wires such as Kanthal or Ni-Chrome. Ti wire on temperature controlled device coils typically have many more wraps because of the low resistance of the titanium wire. Ti wire has about 1/3rd the resistance of Kanthal, so the recommended number of wraps of titanium wire when vaping on a non-temp control devices is approximately 10 wraps for single titanium vaping coils. The recommended wraps of Ti wire when vaping on a temp control vape is approximately 8 wraps for single titanium vaping coils. Another method of wrapping titanium vaping coils is to space the Ti wire to where the coils are not touching, and instead has a few mm space between each wrap.
Titanium Wire Vape
Spider Silk Titanium Wire is not solely used for temp control vapes. You can use Ti wire on mechanical mods, variable voltage or variable wattage, regulated box mods, unregulated box mods, and temp control vapes. If you are vaping on a non-temp controlled vape, then make sure to use an ohm meter before you start vaping. Because of the low resistance of Spider Silk Titanium Wire, the proper ohms and proper battery are mandatory for a safe vape. If using a Ti wire on a mechanical mod, keep the ohms over 0.25 (0.3, 0.4, etc) when using a 35+Amp battery. If you use too low of ohms, your battery may vent or “run-away” and without the proper ventilation on the mod, it will effectively turn into a pipe-bomb –vape safe: use a 35+Amp high drain battery + an ohm meter.
